Training with Jared is amazing. Every session he motivates me, challenges me and pushes me harder, helping me surpass my fitness goals. Each workout is different as he varies my exercises, tailoring sessions to meet my required intensity levels. The results have not only met but exceeded my expectations, having significantly increased my strength and endurance levels, losing 20lbs and 10% body fat. In addition, Jared has been instrumental in me pursuing a career in policing and successfully completing the Physical Readiness Evaluation for Police (PREP). First of all, there are a number of qualities that I think a personal trainer needs in order to be successful at what they do. Being a great trainer is more than knowledge and know-how. Organization is a very important quality to have. Jared comes to each session fully prepared to make the most of our hour together. He knows weeks in advance what we’re working towards. He’s extremely organized and I appreciate that. A good personal trainer should be intuitive and thoughtful. Jared is not only polite and thoughtful, but also intuitive when it comes to my needs, often noticing something long before I do. He’s a good listener, too, which is important. And he pays attention to the little things and is very good at working with both my weaknesses and strengths. I can only imagine that this is difficult, given that each and every client will have unique strengths and weaknesses.

I’m auditory-challenged, and Jared has learned that I need to be physically shown how to do something before I get it. Finally, Jared is really, really knowledgeable and passionate about what he does.  I have worked with a trainer in the past and her knowledge was very limited. I knew I wanted to work with someone who would not only get me started on a strong and healthy path, but also someone who would be able to keep me challenged as time went on. I am totally confident in Jared’s ability to do this. Honestly, I can’t say enough about how great my personal training experience has been to this point. It is my hope that one day I’ll be able to use what I’ve learned to this point and help someone the way that Jared has helped me.

I started working with Jared in February of 2015. My first appointment with him was set, but the day before brought a devastating, life-changing family event so I had to cancel. Jared was very gracious and understanding, a great first impression. I struggled with continuing with my plan for personal training, but decided to carry on. It's been one of the best decisions I could have made. I was nervous to be weighed and measured...who isn't... but again, Jared was very gracious and extremely professional. We talked about fitness goals, and what I wanted I wanted to accomplish in my time with him and created a plan together. It wasn't just him coming up with something, it involved looking at my health, well-being and goals and finding something that worked for me. Having twice-weekly appointments during a very difficult time was so beneficial. Sometimes just knowing I had made that commitment, and that Jared was as anxious for me to succeed as I was kept me going when I would not have bothered. I'd previously done weight-lifting, but had had some significant health issues and this was the first time getting back to it after a long hiatus.

During our training sessions, Jared focused on making sure that my form was correct (he had his work cut out for him) before adding any serious weight. He was always very encouraging and challenged me to keep going, push harder and not quit. I'm now back at the weight that I was lifting before my illness. I feel strong again. My relationship with food has changed for the better. I'm excited about being fit and healthy and challenging myself to do things that I didn't think I would or could do before. I feel more comfortable in my own skin than I have in a long time. I know that this is because of the work that I've done with Jared - this guy really knows his stuff! I can not speak highly enough about the positive impact he has had in my time with him and would absolutely recommend training with him.

I've been training with Jared for a number of months and find him to be very professional, mindful of form which is extremely important, and highly motivational. He was recommended to me by a friend who had trained with him in Belgium. Prior to training with Jared I was driving into North Bay 3x a week for training, which took a big bite out of my schedule. Now I can train with Jared and go home to a healthy meal instead of grabbing fast food after my workout because it is so late (I know, I know...) It's great to have a professional personal trainer so close by to serve Powassan and surrounding areas.

I decided to train with Jared beginning in September. I am not a gym person; therefore, I need motivation and an actual appointment to force me to go. I LOVE going to my work out. I curse Jared and swear a lot but I feel so good when I'm finished. I am a full time client who intends on staying forever to train with Jared. Jared knows what he is talking about and ensures that the exercise is being done properly. I am happy to say that I lost 8 pounds and 1.5 inches overall in one month of working out!!! A group of friends and I decided last year that we were going to attempt the Spartan Sprint, for those who don't know, this event is an obstacle course that any failure gets you 30 burpees. Now burpees to say the least are just ignorant, in my opinion. That being said how do you train for this?? Sure we'd go to the gym 4 times a week, try to watch what we ate and for sure built up our cardio by running a bit. Still as much as we wanted to believe we were ready for this, we still had a doubt. So we started asking around and searching for someone who had experiences in this type of training and this is when we met Jared. We explained to him our predicament and our goals, he told us that he was up for the challenge and that he had just what we needed! He had an outdoor obstacle course. That's what we were looking for, seeing our group size was good he made an exception and created a time slot that was convenient for everyone and our Spartan fitness program started. After 8 weeks of training we must admit that the confidence levels in our group are up there. During our training I'd listen to what Jared said to a few of my team mates and this guy knows his stuff. Regardless of what your goals are Jared is the real deal, he will make them a reality. Thanks for taking the time to help us, Team S.W.A.T.T.

I just finished my first 24 sessions with Jared-It has been such a great experience! Lifting weights is my new favourite thing to do. So excited to see more changes and continue to push myself! Here’s to the next 36 sessions! He is a super busy man but if you’re able to train with him do it people!! You won’t regret it!
